If Your Child has Dance Dreams, You Need to Get This Book Right Away.

Stop wasting your time and money.

You clicked on this blog post. Hi. Chances are you have a plethora of dance books in your children’s library and all of them have one thing in common: a teaching deficiency

Let me explain here. In your pile of children’s dance books, stories of dreams coming true, self-love, confidence, and worthiness live in their pages. It’s a beautiful message. One I think is super important for a little girl’s foundation.

But something seems to be missing in these popular books: actual ballet terms and their meanings. Do the characters learn a ballet step? If so, are the steps explained or do the characters seem to magically learn them?

Does your dance-loving child actually learn dance terms and steps when reading these books? Most likely, you’re repeating the word “no” in your head. Your child has dreams of becoming a ballerina, so why aren’t these books taking that extra step to actually teach ballet

Your child sees the pretty tutus, the laced-up pointe shoes, and the princess tiaras but do they know how to plié, to relevé, or to stand in first position after reading? If you’re reading these books with your child, do YOU know what they mean?

As a dance teacher myself, I’ve spent over a decade watching little new ballerinas come in with books to class. I’ve read them myself, and if a little girl who’s family can’t afford dance lessons truly wants to be a ballerina, these books are where her dance education should begin

I admire these books’ messages so much, but for the kids who are serious about dancing Ballet or Tap or Jazz, they have nowhere to start besides actual dance class. It’s especially heart breaking if you, as a parent, are stuck looking for the perfect dance studio for your child.

That’s why Bella the Buck-Toothed Ballerina is the book you should get your ballet-dreaming child. All of the self-love and confidence of the other books are sprinkled among an actual dance lesson in its pages.

Bella the Buk-Toothed Ballerina lays out how an actual beginner ballet class is run. In Bella’s story, you and your child get a taste of what a real Ballet class is like. First, barre work, then across the floor, learning steps during floor work, and then time to go home.

Your child goes on Bella’s journey with her. Reading Bella the Buck-Toothed Ballerina is exactly like being a part of Bella’s dance class! Your child gets to be in the story themselves. Also, this book has a Key Words glossary in the back so you can learn, explain, and do Ballet moves with your ballerina!

It’s the ultimate 1st dance recital gift, and the perfect first step of your child’s dance education. Copies sold on amandamontoni.com come complete with a virtual dance lesson video. Your child will learn every Ballet step Bella does in the book!

Bella the Buck-Toothed Ballerina is different from any other children’s book out there. It’s inclusive, educational, and goes above and beyond the simple act of reading about dance. It’s a book meant to be danced.
